The holidays are over and it’s time to get down to business.

Of the players I listed in my trade block (https://www.shl.simhockeyfans.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=6873), there are a few that should be of interest to most of you, if not for this season, then definitely for next season. If ratings for next year were being done today, these are the prorated point totals (over 82 games) for the following players…

  • C/LW Chandler Stephenson: 24G, 58A, 82P
    – on a point-per-game pace so far this season, despite long-term injuries to linemates Pacioretty and Stone, and plays in all situations (EV, PP & PK)
  • LW/RW Anthony Duclair: 41G, 34A, 75P
    – on pace for 41 goals on a red-hot Panthers team

  • Shayne Gostisbehere: 14G, 41A, 55P
    – rejuvenated and rolling along as a top-2 dman and #1 powerplay QB

  • W/C Travis Boyd: 26G, 22A, 48P
    – benefitting from the highest ice time of his career and taking full advantage – on pace for 26 goals

  • Brandon Montour: 11G, 24A, 34P
    – putting together an excellent season with good powerplay time – on pace for 11 goals, which is pretty solid for a defenseman

Every single one of those players is signed through at least next season at under $1,000,000 or is an RFA (except for Gostisbehere who is signed for $1,885,000 this year and next year). Once they rerate, their low salaries will make them hugely valuable to your team given our league’s flat salary cap.

Also, Stephenson and Gostisbehere were identified as their respective teams’ MOST INDISPENSABLE players this season in this ESPN article: https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/329 … -nhl-teams

Another player who isn’t listed in my trade block but is also in the above MOST INDISPENSABLE players article is Tristan Jarry. Once again, if ratings were done today, his prorated stats would be…

  • Tristan Jarry: 36W, 1.93GAA, 0.932Sv%, 7shutouts
    – having a huge career-best season and would rerate as a one of the top three goalies in the entire league

At 26 years of age and signed for 4 years at a great salary, Jarry is still young enough to build my team around in the future, but he would probably be better off playing with a contender next season and helping someone win a Cup.

I’m looking for quality youth and prospects in exchange. PM me!
