It has been a process for the Kraken finding their new head coach. Their were many candidates interviewed, but most of them just lacked that “it” factor that the Kraken were looking for. They wanted to get someone who could help the team build a culture for their first few seasons, which at this point in time appear to be rough ones. Then it happened, they found their man. A truly perfect candidate that was just too good to pass up. An Atlantic Canadian legend. A man who knows a bit about shutting things down.

Andy Hakin, the legend himself, has decided to accept the job as the first head coach in Seattle Kraken history.

“I’m very excited to get started” said coach Hakin. “I love shutting things down, as president of StFX I was able to essentially shutdown a whole province with a flick of my wrist, I figured becoming the best shutdown, defensive coach in SHL history should be a piece of cake!”

Coach Hakin has quite a road ahead of him, the team looks like trash but that doesn’t matter, it should only take a few seasons for coach Hakin to get the Kraken on track for 5 cups in a row.
