Colorado Avalanche are now an official SHL team

With the selection of 23 year old goalie Jake Allen from the Winnipeg Jets the Colorado Avalanche are now an official SHL team. While they have only made one selection and still have 27 more to go GM Gallant is happy to enter the SHL. “We were shocked to see that Jake Allen went unprotected, while we never expected to get a franchise player via the expansion draft Allen is a year or two from being a starter, bringing in a player like that who can lead our team is something we’re very happy about. Now with twenty seven selections left I don’t have much time to talk to the media” said Gallant.

Another update will be provided once the team is taking fuller shape or once the draft is completed.
