Seattle has appeared to have found their new GM as former Devils GM Blake MacPherson has been hired on to be the first GM in Kraken history. There is a bit over a year until the expansion draft, but GM MacPherson couldn’t be more excited.

“I had to get out of the east” said GM MacPherson. “Buffalo’s GM, that Bernie guy, he was stalking me at my home, sent threats, and even shit on my door step a couple of times. He said as long as I was in the east that he wouldn’t win so he had to take me out”. When asked if it was hard leaving his Devils team, MacPherson said “It was a bit hard, I mean we made the finals last year and came within 2 games of winning it all, we had a pretty good year to this point as well. But being the GM of an expansion team isn’t something you get to do everyday so while it was hard to leave I felt like this was such an exciting opportunity. I hope the boys go all the way to win the cup this year, and I hope Price is ready as he’s going to be joining the Kraken no matter what”.

Now one might be wondering “what is GM MacPherson’s draft strategy? Will he be aggressive in his pursuit for players? Or will he sit back and have the other GM’s in the league guessing?”. When asked what the strategy is he said “Have spies all over the continent looking for dirt I can use to blackmail all of the GM’s to pick the guys I want”.

The Kraken are raring to go and are ready to storm the league in the 2022-2023 SHL season.
